Syngenta wins prestigious Corporate Leadership Award

Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar Presents Corporate Leadership Award to Syngenta

Syngenta received the prestigious ‘Corporate Leadership Award’ by Agriculture Today in recognition of our effective engagement with stakeholders including farmers, government and civil society. The Award was presented by India’s Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar at the 12th Agriculture Leadership Conclave 2021 in October 21, 2021.

The Award recognizes Syngenta's active engagement through Crop Life India (CLI), in leading the industry efforts in not only tackling the Covid-19 situation but also engaging and presenting a comprehensive Agrochemicals Policy and Regulatory Roadmap to the Government for fostering a predictable science-based policy and regulatory environment for the growth of the agro-chemical sector.

With its presence in India for the past 92 years, Syngenta has consistently been working towards improving productivity, sustainability, quality and safety of agriculture with world class-science and innovative crop solutions.

Chief Sustainability Officer Dr K.C. Ravi received this prestigious Award from Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in the august presence of Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Kailash Chowdhary; Dr Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog; Dr Ashok Dalwai, Chairman, National Rainfed Area Authority, at 12th Agriculture Leadership Conclave 2021 of in New Delhi on October 21, 2021.

Such recognitions further strengthen Syngenta's resolve to continue to contribute to society.

Under its flagship programme, I-CLEAN (Inculcating Cleanliness, Learning, Education, Awareness and New Habits), Syngenta is actively engaged in the Government of India’s Haats to Grams project by collaborating with NABARD and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) to develop more such Haats in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Syngenta has also assumed leadership role in the fight against Covid-19, with special care to farmers by distributing food to farmers and setting up helplines to assist farmers with credible information and covid support. Syngenta has raised the bar through its exemplary engagement with the government, farmers and industry for the all-round development of the agriculture sector.
