Soil health management is crucial due to severe weather patterns like record-setting rains and droughts. Too much rain can wash soil away, too little can dry it out. Better soil conservation practices produce healthier yields.
In India, Syngenta is supporting about 3000 farmers in Karnal and Kuruksheta districts in Haryana covering about 30 to 40 villages.
Purpose of the programme is to educate farmers on Soil Health Management and support them to test the soil and implement best practices such crop rotation, green manure etc. in selected group of villages.
The above farmers are being supported with continuous education and awareness so that they follow the recommended protocols to improve soil health.
