Sowing/Plantation Season

January, December

Flexible Agronomy

  • Seed Rate

2 to 2.5 Kg Per Acre

  • Plant Population

    20000 to 22000 Per Acre

  • Suitability of the variety for the Area Agro Climatic Zone

    All India

  • Selection of the field/land preparation practices

Field should be well prepared free from weeds and well drainage facility. 1-2 deep ploughing, Soil should be exposed to sunlight, 3 to 4 rounds of harrows to reach fine tilt. Before final harrow, apply 8 to 10 MT well decomposed FYM

  • Seed Treatment-rate of timing/ chemical

Seed is already treated with Cyantraniliprole +Thiamethoxam + Thiram/Matalaxyl-M

  • Sowing Time

    Kharif and Rabi

  • Seed Rate/ Sowing method- line sowing with row to row and plant to plant distance/ direct sowing

Seed Rate: 2.0 - 2.5 Kg per acre.
Sowing: Line sowing is recommended in ridges and furrows. We can go for direct sowing as well as Nursery raising.
Distance between two rows:  60 cm (2 feets) apart,
Distance between Plant to Plant : 30 cm (1 feet),
Seeds are sown in line at 2.0-3.0 cm deep
Transplanting: Transplanting should be done @ 20-25 days after sowing.
Plant population should be maintained 20000 to 22000 per acre

  • Fertilizer dose with timing

Intial: 50 Kg DAP + 50 Kg MOP + 10 Kg Microbutrient Per Acre
Top Dressing (After 20 Days): 50 Kg Urea+ 10 Kg Magnisium Sulphate + 10 Kg Zinc Sulphate
Top Dressing (After 40 Days): 50 Kg DAP + 25 Kg Urea
Top Dressing (After 55 Days): 50 Kg Urea (requirement based)

  • Weed Control- Chemicals with doses and timing

Timely weed removal is very important, need based hand weeding can be done to ensure healthy crop.

  • Diseases & Pest control- Chemicals with doses and timing

Seed is already treated with Cyantraniliprole +Thiamethoxam + Thiram/Matalaxyl-M.

For further protection from FAW and other insects follow below schedule:
    1. Pheromone Traps (After 7-10 Days): 10-12 Traps per acre
    2. Spray (After 15- 20 Day): Thiamethaxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC (50 ml per acre) or Spinetoram 11.7% SC (100 ml per acre)
or chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC (80 ml per acre) or Emamectin Benzoat 5% SG (80 gm per acre)
    3. Spray (After 25- 30 Day): Thiamethaxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC (50 ml per acre) or Spinetoram 11.7% SC (100 ml per acre)
or chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC (80 ml per acre) or Emamectin Benzoat 5% SG (80 gm per acre)
    4. Spray (After 35-40 Days): Thiamethaxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC (50 ml per acre) or Spinetoram 11.7% SC (100 ml per acre)
or chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC (80 ml per acre) or Emamectin Benzoat 5% SG (80 gm per acre)

For NCLB control follow below schedule:
    Bavsitin 3 to 4 gms/ltr ; Tilt @ 1 ml/lt water
Spray Amistar top @ 1ml/lit 25-30 days stage / as per appearance

  • Irrigation Schedule

    Irrigation Frequency Depends upon -

    A. Soil type: Light soils need more frequency. Heavy soils needs less frequency.
